On Monday, Ukraine's state emergency service said it had recovered 7 bodies buried under the rubble of two apartment buildings in Borodyanka town near Kyiv.
More than 200 rescue workers have been trying to find the missing residents since Ukraine recaptured the city, west of Kyiv after the Russian forces began withdrawing from the area late last month.
"The total number of the bodies that were found under the rubble is 19," the state emergency service said in a statement.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the situation in Borodyanka is more appalling than Bucha, where Ukraine has accused Russia of war crimes. Moscow denies these allegations.
