"The King" Mohamed Mounir, and brilliant composer Omar Khairat are among the honoree at the 69th edition of the Egyptian Catholic Center Cinema Festival.
The festival, headed by Father Boutros Daniel, will take place from June 11 to June 18, 2021, amid precautionary measures decided by the Ministry of Health and the cabinet.
On Wednesday, the Supreme Committee revealed that the festival will grant the Cinema Pioneering Award to prominent actors Hassan Youssef, Hussein Fahmy, Soheir Al-Morshedy, and Hala Fakher.
The decision comes after the Supreme Committee held several meetings to discuss celebrities and filmmakers who will be honored at the opening ceremony as well as the arrangements for holding the latest edition amid the ongoing pandemic.
The festival will also present the "Artistic Creativity" award to Khairat and Mounir.
Meanwhile, the "Farid El Mazzaoui" award will go to director Mohamed Abdel Aziz, and the "Father Youssef Mazloum" award will go to the Tawfiq Abdel Hamid.
The "Center Special" award will be presented to actor Abdul Aziz Makhyoun, and the "Media Excellence" award will go to journalist Suzan Hassan.
