6 magnitude quake hits Nias region in Indonesia

The Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center reported that a 6 magnitude earthquake struck the Nias region in western Indonesia.

The center stated that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers, at seven o'clock local time, the Indonesian Jakarta Post newspaper reported today, Tuesday.

The center indicated that the earthquake occurred 325 kilometers from the city of Padang and 254 kilometers from the Indonesian city of Sinabung.
