Canadian police said on Thursday that a 19-year-old student from Sri Lanka was accused of stabbing and killing six people he was staying with, according to Sky News.
Ottawa Police Chief Eric Stubbs said the 19-year-old suspect used a "sharp weapon" or "knife-like object" in the incident.
Stubbs added that the deceased were Sri Lankans who recently came to Canada.
The seventh victim is still in the hospital but he has non-life-threatening injuries.
