Six people were killed in a series of shootings in Tate County, Mississippi, CNN reported cited WMC on Friday.
The shootings took place in the Arkabutla community, Tate County Sheriff Brad Lance told WMC.
In a store on Arkabutla Road, a shooting incident occurred and left one dead.
In the same context, a woman was also killed inside a home on Arkabutla Dam Road. In addition, her husband was injured during the incident, but no reports about his injury during the shooting.
Shortly, authorities spotted the suspect inside a vehicle on Arkabutla Dam Road and he was taken into custody without incident, according to WMC.
Reports highlighted that the suspect’s identity wasn't revealed.
After the arrest, police found four more people who were killed. Two were found inside a home and two outside, also on Arkabutla Dam Road.
Governor of Mississippi Tate Reeves tweeted that the individual was taken into custody and it is believed he acted alone.
