The death toll from the heavy rains that began to fall on the Pakistani province of Balochistan during the past five days has risen to 6 and at least 25 were injured, in separate incidents in various parts of the province.
Pakistani Geo News channel quoted the Provincial Disaster Management Authority as saying that the highway linking the provinces of Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was closed due to heavy rainwater, noting that many people were stranded on the roads due to a landslide in the Koh Sulaiman mountains.
The Authority indicated that teams were sent to participate in rescue and relief operations, especially for travelers who were stranded on various roads as a result of the heavy rains in Pakistan.
