Six people have been killed and seven others were wounded after a helicopter crashed in the Altai Republic, as announced by Russian emergency services on Thursday.
According to reports from Moscow, the helicopter crashed with power lines during its descent, leading to the tragic accident.
The Russian emergency services identified the helicopter as a Mi-8 model.
Russian media outlets mentioned that the Mi-8 helicopter is used for transportation and combat purposes in the Russian armed forces.
Moreover, it serves civilian purposes as a passenger and cargo transport helicopter.
