Six Egyptians died while trying to save one of them, an incident that proves the good deeds of the people of Egypt even during the blessed month of fasting amid a deadly virus.

The number of victims of the sanitation chamber in the village of Al-Safaniya of Maghaghah, Minya, has risen to 6, including 13 injured, after residents' attempt to rescue the worker who fell into the sewage.

Osama Al-Qadhi, the governor of Minya, rushed to the scene to follow up on the developments of the accident.

Initial investigations reported that during the sanitation work in the sewage room, one of the workers left the room open, resulting in the fall of one of the workers.

The situation became more complicated when a large number of workers and the village residents gathered and went to the sewage room in an attempt to save him, which increased the death toll to 6, and the injured to 13.

Ten ambulances were pushed to the scene and the rescue and civil protection teams were transferred to the site of the accident.

The injured were transferred to Maghaghah Central Hospital, and 12 injured were discharged after improvement. One patient remains under observation in the hospital, and his condition is stable.
