The European-Mediterranean Seismological Center said that a 5.5-magnitude earthquake struck central Turkey on Tuesday.
The center added that the earthquake was at a depth of 12 kilometers.
Turkey’s Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) head Yunus Sezer said, “There is no negative situation,” following Tuesday’s earthquake.
“There is no negative situation as of the moment after the magnitude 5.5 earthquake that occurred at 08:44 in Kozan district of Adana province,” Sezer said in a tweet.
The Kozan earthquake comes four months after the 7.8 magnitude quake which struck along the Turkey-Syria border, killing more than 50,000 people.
