The European Mediterranean Seismological Center said that a 5.5-magnitude earthquake hit an area off the coast of Northern California.

The US Geological Survey stated that the epicenter of the quake was in the Pacific Ocean, north of California, at a depth of two kilometers.

According to the American Authority, the earthquake's distance from land led to the lack of a high degree of it being recorded on the coast of California.

The US media indicated that there were no reports of injuries or damage immediately after the earthquake.

According to the seismic intensity scale, an earthquake is considered very strong if its intensity ranges between 6 and 7 degrees.

On the twelfth of May, the US Geological Survey announced that an earthquake measuring 5.5 on the Richter scale struck today, Friday, in the city of Prattville, California, USA.

The American Center stated that this earthquake was monitored 4 km east of Prattville, Plumas County, California, at a depth of 5.9 km.
