A local official announced that 53 citizens were killed in Russian shelling, in Chernihiv, north Ukraine.
The official said that the shelling targeted a residential building in Chernihiv, according to the American Channel “Alhurra”.
For its part, the Ukrainian Ministry of Emergency stated that relief personnel pulled the bodies out from under the rubble of a multi-storey apartment building.
On the other hand, Russian forces targeted a number of civilians in front of a bakery with a rocket-propelled grenade.
