The Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Authority announced that an earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale struck southern Turkey, with its center in Hatay state.

In turn, the Syrian Radio and Television General Authority stated that the people of Damascus, Aleppo, Latakia, and the Syrian and Lebanese coasts felt aftershocks as a result of the Turkish Hatay earthquake.
The National Seismological Center stated that an aftershock measuring 5.4 degrees northwest of Idlib at 21:47 minutes, its center is 61 km from the city, with a depth of 18.8 km.

The center reported an aftershock northwest of Latakia with a magnitude of 3.4 at 23:17, its epicenter is 50 km from the city, with a depth of 46 km.
