• Ma Waraa Al Tabiaa (aka Paranormal)

Netflix’s first Egyptian series “Ma Waraa Al Tabiaa” (Paranormal), achieved great success shortly are after its debut online.

The series stars Ahmed Amin Najm, Razane Jammal, Aya Samaha, Samaa Ibrahim, and others. The series is written and directed by Amr Salama and produced by Mohamed Hefzy.

The series is based on the horror/thriller novels “Ma Waraa Al Tabiaa” by late renowned Egyptian novelist, Ahmed Khaled Tawfik, who was known for his contributions to Arab horror.

The plot revolves around the adventures of Rifaat Ismail, a hematologist, (played by Najm), who narrates the supernatural occurrences that he experienced in Egypt in the 1960s. Ismail’s supernatural adventures began in his late 30s, despite all of the events are supernatural-related events, there were some caused by human culprits.

He usually solves the mystery, while accompanied by many friends and inpiduals, however, some events will be more centered around them, even so, some will be narrated by them.

The series is based on different stories and stars, where every episode is broadcasted weekly online.

"Nemra Etnien" features many talented stars including, Amina Khalil, Amr Youssef, Mona Zaki, Asser Yassin, Eyad Nassar, Shereen Reda, Saba Mubarak, Majed Al-Kadwani, Arwa Gouda, and others.

Furthermore, there are many series in development, which is set to be debuted online, including “Asif Younus” starring Mohamed Anwar.

It is directed by Moataz Al-Touni and written by Farouk Hashem and Mustafa Omar.

Another upcoming series titled "Investigation", starring Ahmed Malek, Khaled Anwar, and Huda El Mufti. The series, consists of 13 episodes, is written by Aber Suleiman, and produced by Aroma.

Moreover, Egyptian actor, Amir Karara’s TV series, “Omar al-Naji” is set to be debuted online on “WATCH IT” digital platform. The series, written and directed by Peter Mimi, consists of 8 action-packed episodes.
