You still have plenty of time to start reading  good and entertaining books . There are 5 that beg you to skim through this week. there are plenty of highly-anticipated releases on the way.

*Falconer by Dana Czapnik

Novelist ''Ann Patchett'' Co-owner of ''Parnassus'' Books in Nashville, Tennessee, praised debut novel ''Falconer'' by Dana Czapnik. Patchett reported that we're excited about so many books in 2019, but one that I particularly love is ''Dana Czapnik's'' first novel. The Falconer that's being published by ''Atria'', the story of a girl basketball player in her senior year of high school ''New York City'', the novel is openhearted, fiercely intelligent and has restored my faith in pretty much everything.

*Gingerbread by Helen Oyeyemi

Mary Cotton, owner of Newtonville Books in Newton, Massachusetts, picked the latest novel by Boy, Snow, Bird author Helen Oyeyemi. Her novels seduce and unsettle، soothe and terrorize you sometimes all in the same few lines. ''Gingerbread'' may be my favorite of hers yet.

She nibbled at this book carefully not to devour too much at once. Like in all of her work the reader is introduced to a world both real and fantastical. You have no idea where ''Oyeyemi'' is taking me but you will gladly follow her anywhere".

The timely subject and Luiselli’s gorgeous prose, combined with her authentic portrayal of intricate family dynamics, make this one of our top picks for 2019.
