The “Skinny Skinny” music video was directed by Irwin himself and the director Jade Ehlers. The 26-year-old musician wanted to show people the struggle of not liking what you see in the mirror and what it feels like to not feel at home in your own body in his first solo music video. Irwin announced on Instagram that “This is a video of battle, footage of the fight, a snapshot of resilience.”

The famous drummer also hoped that people find this video empowering.
