Five people were killed after a train collided with a pickup truck at a rural crossing in the US state of Mississippi, authorities said.
According to a statement from the state’s rail authority, the crash occurred when a freight train operated by a private company struck the vehicle at a crossing about 45 miles northwest of Biloxi.
Local county authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.
