On Sunday, a gunman opened fire in a nightclub in Colorado, leaving behind five killed people and 18 injured.
Lituant Pamela Castro of the Colorado Springs Police Department said that police received a report of a shooting at 11:57 p.m.
Castro said that there was one suspect and he was injured.
She added that it was not clear whether the suspect was shot by officers, or not. In addition, the FBI was on the scene and assisted the police in the case.
The police department tweeted that it planned an 8 a.m. news conference at its operations center.
Until now, the motive behind such a shooting is not known yet, however, it brought the memories of the 2016 shooting that left behind more than 40 victims.
