The authorities in Indonesia announced today, Wednesday, that 5 people were killed and 15 others were injured as a result of a fire on board a cargo ship off the coast of the island of Bali.
A police official said that two explosions occurred on board the tanker "Elizabeth" with 21 crew members on board while it was traveling west towards West Nusa Tenggara province, adding that a fire also broke out in the engine room, according to the American ABC network.
The authorities explained that the cause of the accident is still under investigation, noting that three crew members are suffering from serious injuries.
