5 Injured in New Moscow Gas Explosion

An investigation has been opened in the explosion of a gas cylinder and the collapse of a private property in New Moscow.

Yulia Ivanova, A Spokeswoman for the Moscow Main Investigations Directorate told TASS that four men and a child were injured during the accident, and were all taken to hospital.

Investigators said that the gas explosion and the subsequent roof collapse occurred in a private residential building in the Moskovsky settlement late Friday.

Only four were injured, of which three have already been pulled out of the rubble, and work is being completed to pull out the last victim, according to the Ministry of Emergency.

New Moscow is a region attached to the city as part of the Moscow expansion project.
