5 ENHYPEN Members Contracts Coronavirus

Five members of K-pop boy band ENHYPEN contracted the coronavirus, the band's agency Belift Lab announced on Thursday.

The agency added on fan community app Weverse that Jungwon, Heeseung, Jay, Jake, and Sunghoon as the members who tested positive for the virus.

The K-pop idols were diagnosed with the coronavirus during self-quarantine, following exposure to a close contract on August 25.

Jake, the first member to show symptoms, tested positive on August 30. On the same day, Jungwon, Heeseung, Jay, and Sunghoon also started showing similar symptoms, and later tested positive as well.

The agency reaffirmed that all those who were present on-site during the exposure including the artists entered into self-quarantine and underwent PCR testing, which resulted in negative.

ENHYPEN is a South Korean boy band formed by Belift Lab, a joint venture between CJ ENM and Hybe Corporation, through the 2020 survival competition show "I-Land".

The band is composed of seven members: Jungwon, Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, and Ni-ki.
