French government spokesman Gabriel Attal announced on Wednesday that France has entered the fourth wave of COVID-19.
In a press statement to the "BMF" TV channel, Attal said, "The health situation continues to deteriorate. The fourth wave of the pandemic has affected the entire territory of France."
It is worth mentioning that, on July 26, the French parliament passed a bill on the use of health permits and compulsory coronavirus vaccinations for healthcare workers.
France is facing a surge in cases linked to the more contagious Delta variant.
