South Korea could be one of the earliest countries that started competing against the fourth wave of Coronavirus, media agencies reported on Wednesday.

The country recorded a new rise in the recorded new 1896 COVID-19 cases which is the highest recorded daily new infections since July 22.

Moreover, the spot of the unstoppable increase of COVID-19 cases was stretched to include the suburbs of the Capital and some neighboring areas.

Therefore, the Korean authorities started to impose more restrictions to fight against the fourth wave of the pandemic that emerged due to the outbreak of the Delta variant.

Imposed on Tuesday, the restrictions will be applied for two weeks amid seasonal Summer vacations in the state.

In the same context, various countries around the world still suffer from a great surge of daily Coronavirus infections such as Australia, Brazil, China, India, and Thailand.
