The fourth batch of the 36th “Zad Al-Izza” convoy departed this morning toward the Gaza Strip through the Kerem Aby Salem, carrying hundreds of trucks loaded with more than 3,200 tons of humanitarian and relief supplies.
The shipment includes essential food items such as flour, rice, pasta, and cheese, in addition to medical supplies and urgent shelter equipment. The convoy is part of Egypt’s ongoing efforts to break the blockade on Gaza and ease the severe humanitarian crisis exacerbated by the war and the siege that has persisted for more than 700 days.
The Egyptian Red Crescent (ERC) is playing a central role in these operations, mobilizing more than 35,000 volunteers, including 2,000 directly engaged in Gaza’s emergency response. In full coordination with the Palestinian Red Crescent and several UN agencies, the teams work to ensure the safe entry of aid and its delivery to those in need inside the Strip. Shipment lists are updated daily to match the changing needs on the ground, amid ongoing Israeli restrictions and delays at the Kerem Shalom crossing.
This latest humanitarian effort highlights Egypt’s strong commitment to supporting the Palestinian people despite logistical and security challenges. Egyptian authorities continue to work around the clock to secure the steady flow of aid, as relief operations at the Rafah crossing expand under mounting public and official pressure to ensure immediate and effective delivery of assistance.
