The South Korean Meteorological Agency reported today, Monday, that an earthquake measuring 4.5 struk off city of Donghae, located on the eastern coast of South Korea.
According Yonhap reported that the quake occurred in waters 52 kilometers northeast of Donghae, 182 kilometers east of Seoul, at 6:27 am, and that the epicenter was at 37.99 degrees north latitude and 129.72 degrees east longitude. 32 kilometers deep.
The agency added that this is the strongest earthquake to occur in the Korean Peninsula or the surrounding waters so far this year.
This latest quake marks the 35th in the same region since 23rd April and comes just a day after a 3.1 magnitude quake struck the same area on Sunday morning.
