At least 40 people were killed in an Israeli airstrike that struck a residential building in the Tel Al-Zaatar area of northern Gaza, according to Palestinian media reports.
The Gaza Civil Defense, via Telegram, stated that the building belonged to the Al-Araj family and was housing displaced individuals at the time of the attack.
Rescue efforts have been severely hindered, with many victims still trapped under the rubble due to the lack of rescue teams and medical crews in the area.
The Civil Defense also reported that dozens of casualties remain buried beneath the debris of homes destroyed in Jabalia and the Beit Lahia Project during the last two days of intensified Israeli attacks.
The ongoing airstrikes have exacerbated the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza, leaving thousands of civilians in desperate need of aid amid the continuous siege and destruction.
