Four persons were wounded in a mass shooting outside Nationals Park in Washington, DC, during a baseball game, police announced on Sunday.
CNN reporter inside the stadium highlighted that the audience inside the stadium heard noise during the game between the Washington Nationals, and San Diego Padras.
He described that fans started to leave their seats, and flee the venue after hearing the followed gunfire.
"I just want to assure the public that at no time during this incident were inpiduals inside the stadium attending the game in any kind of danger. This was not an active shooter incident and it's not being investigated as such. Everything took place outside the stadium," he said.
Two of the four wounded persons were shot outside the venue, and they were transported to the hospital, according to DC Police Department.
