Israeli Health Ministry announced on Thursday that four vaccinated persons contracted the mutated Indian COVID-19 strain.

In the same context, Jerusalem Post newspaper revealed that the Israeli medical authorities detected 41 infections with the newly spread variant, 21 cases of them were abroad.

Those new infections came amid Israel’s plans to reduce the COVID-19-related restrictions after vaccinating the majority of the residents.

On the other hand, the Indian variant is still spreading around the world, meanwhile, World Health Organization announces last week that it detected the new variant in at least 17 countries.

Moreover, the new variant causes unstoppable surge in COVID-19 infections in India leaving the medical system in the state collapsed.
