Today, Saturday, the Pakistani army announced the killing of four of its soldiers and 15 militants following the outbreak of clashes between the two sides in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, located in the northwest of the country.
The Pakistani army said - in a statement carried by the Pakistani "Geo News" channel - that "nine militants were killed following the outbreak of clashes with the security forces after they launched a raid based on intelligence information about the presence of militants in one of the areas in Dera Ismail Khan province."
It added that during a separate operation, four Pakistani security forces were killed and six militants were also killed following an exchange of fire between the two sides in the Miran Shah area of North Waziristan Province, noting that combing operations are continuing in the area to search for any other militants.
