Tragic news has emerged from Spain as severe storms wreaked havoc across the country, leading to the unfortunate deaths of at least four people.

Local authorities in the region of Castilla-La Mancha reported that the intense storms that swept through the nation have resulted in the loss of four lives.

In the province of Toledo, located south of Madrid, two bodies of men were recovered on Monday.

One victim was found in a vehicle, while the body of another was discovered in a garage elevator. The storms have led to devastating consequences, leaving communities grappling with the aftermath.

Over the weekend, two men aged 31 and 34 lost their lives to treacherous waters while attempting to navigate a narrow passageway in northeastern Spain.

The water currents proved fatal during their endeavor.

The search continues for a man who was traveling with his wife and two children in the Madrid region.

Their car was swept away by the overflowing waters of the Alberche River. While the wife and daughter managed to survive, the 10-year-old son sought refuge in a tree and was discovered there after several hours.

Spain faced intense storms and heavy rainfall over the weekend, resulting in widespread disruption.

Flights and train services were suspended, and passengers found themselves stranded at train stations in Madrid, Malaga, and other cities. Roads, streets, and parks were closed due to flooding, with countless homes and properties submerged in water and mud.

The impact of the storms led to building facades collapsing and trees being uprooted from the ground.

The country now grapples with the aftermath of this natural disaster, as communities and authorities work together to recover from the extensive damage caused by the severe weather conditions.
