At least four people were killed and six others injured in a deadly shooting attack in southern Turkey, according to local reports and security officials.
The attack took place in the Tarsus district of Mersin province, where the suspect allegedly carried out multiple shootings across different locations before fleeing the scene.
According to Turkish media, the gunman first entered a restaurant in the Kadelli Dortler neighborhood and opened fire, killing the restaurant owner and one employee.
Authorities said the suspect later continued the attacks in other areas of Tarsus, fatally shooting a livestock herder in the Kaporcidigi district and a truck driver near his home in Yenimahalle.
Several other people were wounded during the suspect’s escape and were transferred to Tarsus State Hospital for treatment.
Security forces, including gendarmerie units and medical teams, were deployed across the area shortly after reports of the shootings emerged.
Officials launched a large-scale manhunt supported by helicopters as authorities intensified efforts to capture the suspect, whose motive remains unclear.
