The National Electoral Commission announced the conclusion of the third day of voting in the 2024 presidential elections at precisely 9 p.m., allowing the last voter to cast their ballot before the closure of subsidiary polling stations and the commencement of vote counting.
According to Ahmed Bandari, the Executive Director of the National Electoral Commission and Head of the Central Operations Room for monitoring the voting of Egyptians domestically, the turnout at the polling stations was significant and historic.
The electoral committees, totaling approximately 11,631, supervised by judges, began their procedures early, prior to 8:30 a.m. Each judge verified the number of the committee they were overseeing, which was displayed on the door, then inspected the integrity of the committee's doors, windows, lighting, and interior contents, including ballot boxes, voting booths, and stationery items like pens and envelopes.
