During the month of April, the customs authorities at Cairo International Airport, led by Dr. Maged Moussa, Head of the Central Administration, issued 35 customs seizure reports against foreign and Egyptian passengers.
Terminal 3 alone witnessed the issuance of twenty seizure reports, starting from report No. 81 and continuing up to report No. 100.
The seized items encompassed a wide range of illicit goods, including drugs, weapons, binoculars, petrified trees, telephones, cosmetics, dental supplies, silver jewelry, and gold bullion. Notably, seizure report No. 100 involved an African passenger who attempted to smuggle over 3 kilograms of cocaine powder.
The reports underwent meticulous scrutiny under the supervision of Osama Diab, responsible for managing the work of the public administration. Assisting him were department directors Sayed Mamdouh, Abdel Azim Hamada, Dr. Hussein Heikal, Raafat Wahib, and their deputies Ahmed Abu Bakr, Tamer Qasim, Ahmed Al-Dalhamawi, and Amira Tolba.
