French photographer Kulik Bertrand posted on Twitter on Saturday a set of photos documenting the moment lightning struck the Eiffel Tower in the capital, Paris.

Photographer Bertrand reported that lightning struck the tower more than 4 times.

The Eiffel Tower's official website reported that it was not the first time that lightning had struck the tower.

According to the official website, there have been an average of five impacts per year since 1889.

He stressed that the lightning does not affect the tower and does not pose any danger to the public.

It is worth noting that the whole of Ile-de-France was included this Saturday until Sunday 4:00 pm in the orange list due to the vagaries of the weather that can be accompanied by heavy rain and violent storms of wind and hail.
