Local media footage showed roofs collapsing, large trucks overturned, and widespread destruction as meteorologists warned of more severe weather expected later this weekend.
In Missouri, highway patrol authorities reported that local teams are working tirelessly to assist those in need and assess the damage.
Many trees and power poles were downed, while residential and commercial buildings sustained severe damage due to tornadoes, thunderstorms, and large hail.
The Missouri State Police confirmed that six people died in Wayne County, three in Ozark County, with additional fatalities reported in Butler and Jefferson counties. Several others were injured.
In Texas, four people lost their lives in traffic accidents caused by sandstorms and wildfires, which significantly reduced visibility on the roads.
Meanwhile, in neighboring Arkansas, officials reported three deaths and 29 injuries due to the violent storms.
Authorities are continuing rescue and recovery efforts as the severe weather threat remains high in several regions.
