At least 31 people were injured in an explosion inside an event hall in northern Peru on Saturday, authorities said.
Local health official Gerardo Florian said the injured, including three minors, were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment.
The explosion occurred in the district of Víctor Larco Herrera in the city of Trujillo, located in the La Libertad region.
Authorities are investigating the incident as a possible criminal attack.
Local media reported that the same venue had been targeted weeks earlier in a separate incident involving a tear gas device, raising concerns about security at the location.
