The Islamic Waqf Department in Jerusalem announced that 30,000 worshipers performed the Friday prayer today at the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound (Haram Al-Sharif in occupied East Jerusalem), despite unprecedented and stringent Israeli security measures imposed around the city.

The Friday prayer, coinciding with the third day of the blessed Eid al-Fitr, saw a significant turnout of worshipers, even as Israeli forces prevented thousands from the West Bank from entering to perform the Friday prayer. Restrictions were also placed on the entry of worshipers into the mosque, with young men's identities scrutinized at the entrances of the Old City and Al-Aqsa Mosque, barring some from entry.

More than 60,000 worshipers had performed the Eid al-Fitr prayer on Wednesday at the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, despite occupation constraints.

According to the Palestinian News Agency, the Old City of occupied Jerusalem experienced a massive influx of citizens from the early morning hours to participate in the Eid prayer, showcasing the community's resilience and devotion amidst adversities.
