On Saturday, 3 people died in a small plane crash about one mile south of a rural airport in Sparta, Tennessee.
Airport officials and the Federal Aviation Administration told Fox News Digital the aircraft was a single-engine Mooney M20TN, and the crash happened about noon local time.
It was on its way to the Upper Cumberland Regional Airport.
The FAA is investigating the incident.
