3 Killed in Michigan Tornado

Three people were killed and at least 12 others injured after a tornado struck a town in the US state of Michigan, local authorities said.

The Branch County Sheriff's Office reported that the deaths and injuries occurred when the tornado hit the Union Lake area, about 200 kilometers west of Detroit.

Emergency crews responded to the scene as the storm caused damage across parts of the community. Officials said rescue and assessment operations were underway to determine the full extent of the destruction.
