Palestinian medical authorities report that an Israeli airstrike struck a tent accommodating a displaced family in the central Gaza Strip, resulting in the deaths of at least three individuals, including the parents of twin children.

The incident occurred in the Nuseirat refugee camp, which was established in 1948 to provide shelter for Palestinians displaced by the conflict that led to the formation of the Israeli state.

The twin children, aged 10, are currently receiving treatment for severe injuries at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in the nearby city of Deir al-Balah.

According to Mohamed Muhareb, the head of the ambulance service at Awda Hospital in Nuseirat, at least 24 individuals sustained injuries and were transported to the facility. The specifics of the casualties have been documented in hospital records.

Meanwhile, the Israeli military claimed that its operations are directed solely at militants, alleging that these individuals are using civilian populations as cover.
