At least 3 people were killed, today, Friday, in a shooting inside a church in Iowa, USA.

US police official, Captain Nicholas Linney, said three people were killed after a shooting in a church in Ames, Iowa, adding that the shooter is believed to be one of the three killed in the incident at Cornerstone Church.

The US policeman stressed that there is no threat to the population at the present time.

"The Iowa shooting took place outside Cornerstone Church, a fundamentalist Christian church east of the city of Ames, while a church program was on inside," said Nicholas Lennie, chief deputy of the Story County Sheriff's Office, according to Reuters.

"When deputies arrived on the scene they found all three dead," Lennie said, adding that he could not provide identities nor disclose what the relationship between them may have been.

Noteworthy, the authorities in the US state of Oklahoma announced yesterday that four people were killed and 10 others were injured, after a gunman opened fire at the second floor of a medical building in the city (Tulsa) in the state.

In a statement, US Police said that it had received a report of a person carrying a firearm in the Natalie Medical Building as gunshots were heard in the building. Police indicated that the body of the gunman was later found.
