3 Killed, 15 Injured After Crash in US Ohio

Ohio authorities have reported a fatal accident that claimed the lives of at least three individuals and left 15 others injured.

The incident occurred when a semi-truck collided with a rented passenger bus carrying high school students on a highway in Ohio.

According to The Hill newspaper, Sean Grady, the director of the County Emergency Management Agency in Licking County, Ohio, stated that the accident took place on Tuesday morning on Interstate 70 westbound in Licking County.

Grady further mentioned that the 15 injured individuals have been transported to five different hospitals in the area, where they are currently receiving medical treatment.

Derek Franks, the superintendent of the local Tuscarawas Valley School District, revealed that the bus, carrying 57 people, including students and chaperones, was en route to a conference for the Ohio School Boards Association in Columbus.

In a statement posted on the school's Facebook page, Franks stated that Law enforcement authorities have informed that there may be several serious injuries.

Investigation is still underway, according to Franks.
