Three people were injured Monday following a knife attack at the main train station in Würzburg, Germany, according to local police.

Authorities said the incident took place at the central railway station in the Bavarian city, sparking a swift response from law enforcement. The three victims, men aged 51, 55, and 68, sustained minor injuries during the attempted assault. Police confirmed that none of them suffered stab wounds or deep cuts.

According to official statements, bystanders quickly intervened to restrain the suspect. Among those who helped subdue the attacker was an off-duty police officer. The suspect, a 35-year-old man, was arrested at the scene without further incident.

Investigators have not yet determined the motive behind the attack. Police said the situation was brought under control rapidly, and there is no indication of additional suspects at this time.

The Würzburg train station knife attack adds to ongoing security concerns across Germany, where authorities remain on alert following several recent incidents involving edged weapons in public places.

Officials said the investigation is ongoing, and further details will be released as they become available.
