Authorities said that on Monday, scaffolding fell at a construction site in Charlotte, North Carolina, killing three construction workers and injuring two more.
Just after 9 a.m., a construction site on East Morehead Street outside of uptown Charlotte experienced a collapse, according to WBTV.
Fire Capt. Jackie Gilmore revealed during a news conference that the two injured workers were transferred to a hospital for an examination of their wounds. Occupational Safety and Health Administration representatives will inspect the area, he added, adding that all work at the location has been paused while the event is being examined.
