3 Children Killed in Knife Attack in Brazil

Three children, two staff members were killed and another injured in a knife attack in the state of Santa Catarina, Brazil on Tuesday.

The armed teenager attacked several persons in a care center before turning the knife into his neck. "He was taken to the hospital in critical condition," Police Department said in a statement.

The motives of the attacker were not identified yet, asserting that he has no criminal record.

Police Department didn't mention the ages of the victims, however, local media reports highlighted that the care center was dedicated to children aged between 6 months to two years.

On the occasion of the accident, Governor Daniela Reinehr declared the state of mourning for three days in whole Santa Catarina.
