Three bald eagles have gone missing from a sanctuary at Dollywood after severe weather caused damage to the site, park officials confirmed.

Management said a tree was uprooted during a powerful storm on April 19, striking the aviary at the Eagle Mountain Sanctuary, which houses non-releasable birds of prey. The impact damaged the enclosure, allowing the eagles to escape.

The American Eagle Foundation said search teams are actively working to locate the three birds, named Wesley, Caesar, and Rockland. Officials added that reports from local residents have helped narrow down the search area.

According to the foundation, each eagle can be identified by distinct markings. Wesley has a black band on its leg and suffers from a chronic shoulder injury. Caesar wears an orange band and identification tag and has a prior wing injury. Rockland has a deformity in one wing caused by an old fracture, limiting its ability to fly long distances.

Park officials confirmed that the remaining eagles have been relocated to temporary safe facilities while repairs are underway. The affected area remains closed to visitors.

Authorities have urged the public to immediately report any sightings as search operations continue to ensure the safe recovery of the birds.
