The winners of the 2nd edition of the Egypt Fashion Awards were announced in a ceremony at the Mall of Arabia, in the presence of a large number of people interested in the fashion industry, actors, and the press.
During the magical autumn night, various designs were displayed by 20 designers in the fields of youth fashion design, jewelry, and accessories.
The second edition winners are as follows:
Emerging designer: MENZA
Young designer: ZAKEIA
Accessory designer: Rasha Pasha
Jewelry designer: GYPPO
What awaits the winners?
The winners are slated to participate in the UK's largest clothing trade show Pure London. This participation is an important step in encouraging the local industry supporting designers to learn about the global market and encouraging them to export, which is a necessary step for the fashion industry and the Egyptian economy.
Meet the judges
The winners were selected by judges Lebanese designer Rami Salamoun and Cairo Design District co-founder Walid Khairy.
The judges also include HRH Princess Fawzia Fouad Farouk of Egypt and Egyptian actress Injy El Mokkadem, both share a passion for promoting Egyptian designers and craftsmanship.
Judge Hanady Mehanna shares her passion for promoting local designers with Passion editor in Chief and EFDC co-founder and EFA judge Susan Sabet.
The second edition is sponsored by The Egyptian Fashion and Design Council, Marakez, Mall of Arabia, the British Council Egypt, SS Consulting (SSC), and supported by The Four Seasons Hotel First Residence, Kriss, Nile FM, Nogoum FM, Pashion, and Cairo West.
It was organized by Youssef Spahi, who supervised everything related to the event, including decoration and music. He even served as a host.
