Israeli police announced the arrest of 29 demonstrators in Tel Aviv demonstrations and the opening of all roads to traffic, according to Hebrew media.
Ynet News quoted the organizers of the protests and the families of the Israeli hostages as saying that "700,000 people demonstrated throughout Israel on Sunday evening, and that the number of participants in the main demonstration in Kaplan in Tel Aviv reached 550,000 people."
Israeli protesters blocked a main road in Tel Aviv, the entrance to Jerusalem, and a central street in the southern Israeli city of Beersheba, while others demonstrated in Karmiel and Rehovot. Protesters, including families of hostages held in Gaza, also blocked the Ayalon Highway, demanding a hostage exchange deal with Hamas, before the road was later reopened to traffic by police.
