In a tragic incident in Nepal, twenty-seven people lost their lives, and sixteen others were injured when a bus carrying Indian tourists plunged into a river on Friday.
The local authorities reported the accident, which occurred when the bus veered off the road and fell into the river below.
Janardan Gautam, an official from the Tanahun district in central Nepal, confirmed the death toll, stating that all 27 fatalities were among the 43 passengers onboard.
The injured passengers were swiftly airlifted to Kathmandu for urgent medical treatment.
The bus had departed from the popular tourist city of Pokhara, heading towards the capital, Kathmandu, when the accident took place around noon local time.
