26 Coronavirus Cases Recovered in Egypt

Egypt’s Ministry of Health and Population announced on Tuesday that 26 patients out of the total confirmed cases have tested negative for the Covid-19 coronavirus after receiving the necessary medical care in the isolation hospital.

Khaled Megahed, Health Ministry official spokesman revealed that earlier today 5 cases came negative for the virus, bringing the total number of coronavirus-free cases in Egypt to 26.

"Their conditions are completely stable and they are still in the hospital designated for isolation, receiving the necessary medical care according to World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines," the spokesman added.

It is worth mentioning that, Egypt announced on Monday that another four people have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 59 in the country.

The Egyptian Health Ministry announced on Sunday it reported the first coronavirus death for a German national. He was 60.

The World Health Organization WHO has warned that world countries should do more and prepare for a possible pandemic because of Coronavirus outbreak.

In an official statement, WHO said that it is too early to announce a pandemic now, but the countries should be in a “phase of preparedness”.

“The epidemic will be declared when the infectious disease is easily transmitted from person to person in many parts of the world,” the statement read.

More cases of the virus, which causes respiratory disease Covid-19, continue to emerge, with outbreaks in South Korea, Italy, and Iran.

The transmission of viruses between humans happens when someone comes into contact with an infected person’s secretions, such as droplets in a cough.

They can also be transmitted by coming into contact with something an infected person has touched and then touching your mouth, nose or eyes.
