The Somali National Army has successfully carried out a pre-planned military operation near the Bulo Haji area in the Lower Juba region of southern Somalia, eliminating 25 terrorist militants and wounding several others.
According to Somali National News Agency (SONNA), military officials confirmed that among the deceased were high-ranking leaders of extremist groups operating in the region. The operation also resulted in the destruction of key terrorist bases and combat vehicles that had been used to target innocent civilians.
The offensive marks a significant step in Somalia’s ongoing counterterrorism efforts aimed at stabilizing volatile regions and dismantling terrorist infrastructure.
Government forces have recently intensified military actions in southern Somalia, with support from international partners, to restore peace and security.
